Honda scored a coup by giving the 2024 Odyssey Touring Elite model an industry-first, built-in vacuum cleaner. The vacuum stores in the rear cargo area, runs off the Odyssey’s 12-volt battery and can reach all corners of the interior. For 2024, the vacuum cleaner also is available in the SE model, which includes a rear entertainment system, 115-volt power outlet and satellite radio.
The SE model’s arrival is a smoke signal from Honda that a redesigned Odyssey is coming for 2024, and as usual Honda hasn’t spilled the beans on what will change. Opting for a 2024 is still a decent move, especially if you want the SE model.

The 2024 Honda Odyssey has come a long way from the 5-door hatchback that first hit the market in 1995. Instead of sliding doors like a regular minivan, that first Odyssey’s doors were front-hinged like those of a sedan or SUV. It wasn’t until the 1999 introduction of the second-generation model that the Odyssey changed to the traditional minivan sliding doors.
Honda launched the current, fourth-generation Odyssey in 2024 with updated features and a new look. Away went the simple appearance with the flat window line, replaced instead by a more modern family hauler with a unique kink in the windows. It was and still is something of a risky design for the normally staid minivan segment.
